This wedding at Crystal Bridges was such a great day all around. From the venue to the families, it was one of those celebrations that felt effortless and full of joy. I’ve had the chance to photograph some amazing weddings over the years, but there was something extra special about this one.
I first worked with Courtney, the bride’s, family years ago when I photographed her sister’s wedding. It’s so cool to be able to come full circle and capture another wedding in this family. You can tell right away that they’re all super close, and the love between the couple was palpable throughout the day.
The groom’s family was incredible too, and embraced me right away. Barrett’s mom was an absolute sweetheart and every time I’ve run into her at other weddings, it’s always a pleasure. She’s just one of those people who brings a smile to your face, and it was clear how proud she was of her son and his new bride.
The wedding was planned by the talented Jessica Kersey, and she nailed it (as always)! The day was so well-organized, and every detail was spot on. The florals by Pigment were another highlight—gorgeous and full of color. They added such a vibrant touch to the celebration, and I loved how they brought the whole look together.
As a film photographer, I’m always excited to capture a wedding on film because it gives everything such a timeless feel. The soft, natural light at Crystal Bridges, paired with the rich florals and all the little details, made for some stunning shots that truly stand the test of time.
It was a joy to be part of this beautiful day, and I’m so thankful I got to document these special moments for such a wonderful couple and their families. Congrats again to the newlyweds—I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!
