Seven years ago, I met Kelly in France when I was there for Anne Claire Allen’s wedding. She and I were both friends of Anne Claire’s, and so we got to be pretty close during our trip to celebrate Anne Claire’s wedding. I shot that wedding, but Kelly and I also made a ton of memories while we were there – from buying Chris’ suit after his was lost at the airport, to holding a trunkful of florals on a drive from Paris to the outskirts of the city. Kelly & I had dinners together, and SO much laughing! So when she got engaged to Charles, I was just thrilled when she reached out to me! With Anne Claire heading up the planning and design, it was a perfect reunion!

Kelly & Charles met at the beginning of the pandemic, which was an interesting start to a budding romance! Without anywhere to go, they got to know each other really well without the usual outside pressures or influences. As restrictions slowly started to lift, they were able to start including each other in real life events, and it became clear just how strong of a connection they really had.

Charles proposed to Kelly the same way his late father had proposed to his mom. To make things even more special, Kelly’s engagement ring included one of Charles’ mom’s diamonds that Charles’ dad had gifted her, and on their wedding day Charles wore his dad’s wedding band, complete with both their wedding dates and initials engraved inside.

Kelly & Charles got married at the Clinton Library in Little Rock overlooking a beautiful green space. Their reception decked out in black, white, and green, overlooked downtown Little Rock. To bring the outdoors in, they had Silks A Bloom create large trees for the main reception centerpieces.

The day was filled with so much love. Kelly glowed, and to see her so happy with her groom made my heart soar. It was honestly just a perfect day, and I am so grateful I was a part of it!
