I’ve decided that I want to merge my two blogs (I think) so that I can showcase all my favorite work in one place. SO if you’re following along my wedding photography, now you will also know that I shoot newborns and families as well (although, to be honest, I take VERY few sessions every month, as weddings are still my primary focus!).
I met Lindsey when she was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed a few years ago. I loved her bright smile and easy personality way back then and remembered her for years! So when she contacted me about taking photos of her newborn baby girl, I knew it was going to be a fit personality-wise! I never could have dreamed how perfect the home would be too! Walking into this home, I basically fell flat on the floor – I sincerely want my house to look like this! Light and airy, with fun pops of color, it was the perfect space for an in-home newborn session. Little Miss Lyla was the perfect model. I just love when a family feels like such a good fit for me, and lets me do my thing.
Because the house was fairly bright, I was able to take some images with my film camera. Below are my favorites, a mix of film and digital (can you tell the difference?). Shot on Fuji400 and scanned by Photovision. Enjoy!
